Breweries
We brew our beers at the Dommelsche Bierbrouwerij in Dommelen and the Hertog Jan Brewery in Arcen. Our office is based in Breda. Additionally, we have 11 regional distribution offices spread across the country, a national distribution center, and our own Horeca Technical Service location.

Beer has been brewed at the Dommelsche Bierbrouwerij along the Dommel since 1744, making it the oldest operating brewery in the Netherlands, according to the Dutch Beer Culture Heritage Foundation. The brewery specializes in brewing pilsner. With 190 employees, it is one of the largest employers in the municipality of Valkenswaard. The brewery also plays an important social role in the community, supporting events such as the flower parade, charities, guilds, associations, and foundations. The Dommelsche Bierbrouwerij is one of the most sustainable breweries in the Netherlands. It is partially self-sufficient by producing its own biogas from wastewater. Over the past five years, the brewery has reduced its water consumption by 15% and its CO2 footprint by 20%.

The Hertog Jan Brewery is a well-known Dutch brewery located in Arcen, Netherlands. It has a rich brewing tradition and is highly regarded for its craftsmanship and high-quality specialty beers. The brewery was originally founded in 1915 under the name "Stoombierbrouwerij de Vriendenkring" (Steam Brewery "The Circle of Friends"). In the 1980s, the name was changed to Hertog Jan, named after Duke John I of Brabant, a historical figure known for his love of feasting and beer. The brewery has always focused on traditional brewing methods while also innovating with modern techniques.

Master Brewer Micha Peute has once again succeeded in aging his Grand Prestige on carefully selected barrels with a unique history, thus creating a complementary series rich in aromas and stories. This year, the barrels for the Grand Prestige Vatgerijpt come from four different whisky regions: Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and Kentucky. The magic of aging on barrels lies in the interaction between the beer and the wood. The oak barrels provide a source of beautiful, complex flavor combinations. Four variants, four flavor nuances, and four different stories. These beers have in common that you are transported into the world of whisky and expertly aged beer with just one sip.
Just like whisky, the stories behind the beer are hidden in its full flavor. To bring them out, you don't drink Vatgerijpt like an ordinary beer. You sip it.
