We’re AB InBev, brewer of some of the world’s best beers, like Stella Artois, Corona and our American brand Budweiser. Read on to find out what Charlotte learnt during her time on the AB InBev Market Visionaries Programme.

Living and learning across Europe

As a graduate of our Market Visionaries Programme (MVP), Charlotte went from Regional KAM to Brand Activation Manager. During her training she was highlighted as one of the most valuable members of her team, after growing beer sales in one of France’s largest and toughest sectors.

Adapting to the challenge

“You have to be agile and nimble in our business,” explains Charlotte. “Every day there’s a new challenge, so you have to adapt, but that’s the fun of it.” In her current role she oversees marketing creative for AB InBev’s beer portfolio in France, but the MVP also exposed her to sales, negotiation and the business at a global level.

Opportunities from the first role

“In my first role as a graduate, I was part of an entirely new AB InBev sales team looking after one of the largest sectors in France.” This fresh opportunity allowed Charlotte and her team to do something quite novel: “We refreshed the whole approach, negotiated new deals and built on existing business.” Over the course of the year, they achieved the most market growth across all brands in France. “It was an incredible feeling. We always went the extra mile, and we think that’s what won it for us.”

Doing business at a global level

“In my current role, I work primarily in France, but also spend time in the UK and Belgium. I love working internationally with other graduates from my year. It feels like we’ve got our own global network.” Charlotte is keen to expand her skillset and spend more time abroad. “I love London, but Leuven really excites me. It’s the heart and hub of our business.”

Finding the right path

Over the past three years, Charlotte has worked in a variety of sales and marketing positions. “I’ve progressed quickly and tried different things, and everyone’s been so supportive. I feel like I’m being invested in.” She’s currently at an exciting crossroad in her career. “My next step is either becoming a Brand Manager or a Sales Manager. My managers and mentors are guiding me all the way on my choice.”
