Sjors,
Category Manager
Read Sjors’ story about his graduate scheme, his first role, and how he’s already making an impact at AB InBev.

“I live in the beautiful city of Rotterdam” Sjors said. “I studied International Business Administration and Innovation Management in Rotterdam. In my free time, I like to play football, tennis and to cook. My favourite AB InBev beer is Tripel Karmeliet, enjoyed during a sunny afternoon on a terrace.”
When talking about the beginning of his career with AB InBev Sjors shared: “I started the Graduate Management Traineeship (GMT) in August 2019. This is a programme of projects in different departments throughout the company. I did short projects in Supply at the Hoegaarden brewery in Belgium, plus in Sales, Logistics and Category Management. After the graduate programme finished, I went straight into my first position in the Customer Experience (CX) department where I was the team lead for hotels, restaurants and cafes for the south of the Netherlands.”
Sjors also mentioned his consumer-centric approach while working with the CX team: “The team is an important point of contact for our stakeholders (bars, restaurants, clubs) for taking orders of our beers, and other questions like deliveries, contracts, invoices and so on. We strive to be the best at serving and partnering with our customers, who are the gateway to our consumers. My role was to streamline the processes within the department, with other departments, and making sure that everyone in the team has the right tools, skills and mindset to work and deliver a good customer experience."
Sjors has the positive mindset and team approach we look for in our future leaders: “I am proud of the current performance of the CX team, and I am looking forward to the future!”
