 ?  Why did you choose to apply to our CMT Programme at AB InBev?

The CMT Programme provides a hands-on, sales-oriented traineeship where you can hone in on your business management skills and sales capabilities and develop the skills that will help you shape an exciting career at AB InBev. Given the opportunity to take ownership and deliver results from day one, I was drawn to the CMT programme as I am motivated by having tangible goals and understanding how my work contributes to the wider company strategy and goals. As a CMT Trainee, you are based in the field, with daily customer contact and the unique opportunity to learn about the full 360 sales scope. Having spoken to multiple trainees before and whilst applying for the traineeship at the Company, it was clear to see everyone was passionate about what their role was at the company and excited by its unique ownership culture. Now having joined the company, this is absolutely reflected in our day-to-day work, with us all feeling empowered to make decisions and lead by example. 
 
 

 ?  What does a day in the life of a CMT look like?

The CMT programme involves you being in the field daily, visiting retail customers (in my case as I was based in the off-trade), ensuring distribution of our products, and building impressive secondary placements to ensure visibility on the shop floor of our great portfolio. We have weekly team calls to align on priorities and make sure we are up to date on any new topics, ensuring we are always best informed to communicate with our customers. We plan customer visits in advance so we are able to hit the ground running. We also have regular face-to-face team meetings where we meet, connect, and align on priorities for the coming months.
 

 

 ?  How did the capstone sessions and interactions with senior leaders shape your perspective on the company's strategy and influence your professional grow?

During the traineeship, I had the opportunity to go to Leuven, our global HQ, for two separate capstone trainings with all other trainees from across Europe, as well as to Prague for exclusive sales training alongside all my fellow CMTs from across Europe. During these trainings, we had townhall style trainings with senior leaders from ABI, as well as the opportunity to ask questions to them in a Q&A session. The visibility these sessions gave us into all different areas of our business was very insightful and allowed us all to gain a holistic understanding of how functions work together, which also shaped future career planning and professional growth.
